Works to go on display in ‘homely’ shop

A new artists’ collective has been set up in Keighley.
“We are a diverse mix of different disciplines – jewellery-makers, painters, illustrators, printmakers and sculptors, and others who don’t fall into one any category,” says Diana Blagg. “We’re planning an exhibition to begin on May 5 in the empty Specsavers shop in Keighley – it will also include regular performances by musicians.
“The idea is to create a homely feel, with comfy chairs and rugs so people don’t feel excluded or intimidated.
“We have a Facebook page, Artistic Off-Licence, which showcases the work of the artists involved and we have made connections with groups and venues such as the Smallworld venue in Keighley and the Bradford Open.”
