The charming 1970 film version of The Railway Children is being screened at Bradford Cathedral tonight.
The British classic, based on E Nesbit’s novel and directed by Lionel Jeffries, was filmed on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and stars Dinah Sheridan, Jenny Agutter, Sally Thomsett, and Bernard Cribbins.
The screening, at 7pm, will be followed with an ‘In Conversation’ talk with former Keighley MP Ann Cryer, president of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway Preservation Society, who was an extra in the film.
