Terrorvision frontman Tony Wright is joining rocker Ricky Warwick for an acoustic tour. Tony and Milly of Terrorvision, aka keyboard player Milton Evans, are collectively known as Acoustic TV and will be co-headlining a tour this summer with Ricky, who rose to prominence with 90s rock band The Almighty and recorded several solo albums before becoming the vocalist with Thin Lizzy and now with Black Star Riders.
Acoustics on Tour will feature classics from Terrovision’s back catalogue, and Ricky’s material, as well as tracks from Tony’s band Laika Dog and his solo projects.
“Acoustic TV is one of those things like when you get home from the club in the early hours of the morning and take your car to pieces and then awake without a clue where all the parts go,” says Tony. “So the task starts with trying to put the vehicle back together – without the instructions and only a couple of spanners, or in this case a couple of acoustic guitars. And though it isn’t like it was when we took first took things apart, we are quite suprised and happy about our ‘rebuilds’.”
The acoustic tour follows the release of Terrorvision’s latest album Super Delux.
* Acoustic TV will be at Leeds Brudenell on Sunday, July 21 and on the Jagermeister stage at Download Festival tomorrow.
