Seven new road signs to officially announce Bradford as the City of Film have been going up on routes into the city centre.
They mark Bradford’s designation as the world’s only UNESCO City of Film and they have been unveiled in the week that the city is celebrating its status. City of Film will start at a civic reception tomorrow to coincide with the opening of Bradford International Film Festival.
Councillor Anne Hawkesworth, the Council’s executive member for environment and culture and City of Film board member, said: “This is our chance to celebrate this wonderful status and promote Bradford’s great film heritage and also the potential that the status gives to the city and district.”
