SIR - I read your comments re Bradford Live (T&A, April 20) with great interest.
How is it that, as the city’s newspaper and a sponsor of the (laughable) City of Culture, the council will not offer any comment to you? Frankly, once again it demonstrates how utterly out of their depth our council is for whenever there is bad news, they duck and dive like Arthur Daley. No photo calls here I note!
It is clear to all that the relationship with NEC has broken down – why is not so clear. However, once again we suffer the ineptitude of our council when other cities - notably Halifax and Leeds - continue to offer a vibrant city centre entertainments provision.
Must we be third-rate forever doomed to be a ghost town?
