READER LETTER: It’s no big surprise that pedestrians finish last
SIR – As a Valley Road, Shipley, resident it seems utterly pointless to have road signs that Canal and Valley Road during the 10k mini marathon will be closed until 10.45.
They are then re-opened prior to 10.30, ensuring that pedestrians can then expect crossing on the nearside to and from Shipley centre, with a shower of dirty water on Crossley Bridge due to constant blocking and re-blocking of a kerbside drain.
However as always pedestrians come last, despite us all being citizens at some time or another.
