AN Allerton nursery has been praised by Ofsted inspectors, who call it a “safe, stimulating and accessible environment.”

The nursery at Childsplay Cafe West Healthy Living Centre was visited by inspectors in December, and their report released earlier this week.

Based at Cafe West healthy living centre on Wanstead Crescent, the nursery opened in 2013.

It currently has 30 children aged two to three on its rolls and employs eight staff.

Inspectors rated the nursery good in every category, from quality of teaching to personal development.

Their report says: “Children play very happily in the very safe, stimulating and accessible environment.

“There is a strong community feel to the nursery. Staff act as good role models and create a positive culture.

“Children progress well in their learning. They acquire early skills which prepare them well for moving on to the local pre-school and school.

“The manager provides strong leadership, and her drive for improvement is shared by all.”
