The Fleece Inn at Haworth has been awarded four stars for its accommodation by Visit England, the English tourist authority.
Nick Hindle, who took over the tenancy four years ago, said: “This is a real feather in the cap for all the staff.
“We recently upgraded the rooms and this is being reflected in our occupancy levels.”
The Timothy Taylor-owned pub, which has seven letting rooms, was once popular with Branwell Bronte, brother of the famous Bronte sisters.
The award is one of a number of prizes already won by the pub including the Beautiful Beer gold and platinum awards and the Cask Marque award.
The Fleece is the only pub in Yorkshire to hold the Platinum standard.
