Young people’s author Alan Gibson spent time with pupils at Nab Wood School, Cottingley.
The top author was in class to help students with creative writing skills.
School librarian Judith Edmonds said it had been a successful visit to the school.
She said: “Everyone was really excited about working with him.
“The writing workshops were intense but inspirational.”
