WINNER OF WINNERS

Sponsored by Kirkgate Shopping Centre

We did not ask business or the public to nominate in this one, as the winner of winners is selected from the top-placed nominations of the other ten awards.

Judges were looking for the best overall contribution to business in the district.

The panel also considered who ticks all the boxes when it comes to performance, growth, staff and customer care and general contribution to the business landscape of the Bradford district.

This category really is up for grabs by any business entered in the previous categories, and will be awarded to the firm, individual or project the panel decides embodies the ethos of the Bradford Means Business Awards.

Last year’s winner in this category was Danielle Dixon, who had won the Businesswoman of the Year award. A self-confessed “low achiever” at school who went on to become a hugely successful businesswoman, Danielle Dixon really is an inspiration.

Danielle was raised on the Holme Wood estate, had unemployed parents and admits she missed a lot of school as a child.

But she said it was her determination to “keep on trying, keep on changing, keep on evolving” which had been the making of her.
