Winner: Advanced Supply Chain aulage firm Advanced Supply Chain is really delivering the goods, and now has the award to prove it.

There can’t be many people who won’t have seen one of the firm’s lorries out and about on roads all over the UK, or even beyond.

Established in 1997 by chief executive Mike Danby, Advanced Supply Chain is an ambitious company with its sights set firmly on significant growth.

Calling itself an ‘end-to end logistics business’, Advanced Supply Chain transports goods to and from Asia and Europe on behalf of major retailers and large-scale importers.

The business, which has its headquarters in Bradford, now employs around 600 people in total, 500 of whom are in Yorkshire.

It has one million square feet of warehousing and 250 trailers.

Last year, Advanced Supply Chain saw its turnover increase by about 25 per cent, and the year before, growth was a massive 60 per cent.

But the firm isn’t resting on its laurels and is aiming at growing turnover by a further 30 per cent this year.

After being presented with his award, Mike said: “It’s fantastic. It’s recognition for all the team at our company for the hard work over many, many years to get to this point.

“It’s really good for me, but it’s good for our people. I can’t wait to tell them all on Monday that we have won this.

“It’s them who have won this award, not me, and it’s them who need to get some recognition out of this.”
