GILL Derek On January 1, 2018, peacefully at Garlands Care Home, Heckmondwike, Derek aged 87 years of Birkenshaw. (Former Assistant Chief Fire Officer for West Yorkshire). Beloved husband of the late Phyllis, much loved dad of Helen, Hazel and the late Janet, a dear father-in-law and a devoted grandad and great-grandad. Family and friends are invited to meet at Parkwood Crematorium, Elland, on Friday, January 26, at 2.15 p.m. for a service to celebrate Derek's life. Family flowers only by request, but if desired donations in memory of Derek may be given to The Alzheimer's Society. A box will be made available at the service for this purpose.
