BRADFORD Cathedral will host an evening of prayer and reflection for persecuted Christians and other minorities.
The event is on Sunday, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, and is open to anyone in the city.
Participants will be able to spend time in prayer and reflection at eight stations around the cathedral, representing different nations in the Middle East where religious freedom is restricted and where Christians and other minority faiths are persecuted.
Speakers will also tell individual stories of hardship and persecution.
The event has been timed to reflect and commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide in 1915.
Dean of Bradford, the Very Reverend Jerry Lepine, said: “With events in Iraq and Syria at the forefront of our minds, and mindful of our own religious freedom, it is vitally important that we remember and pray for Christians and those of other faiths across the Middle East who are persecuted because of their faith."
