MONSTER Trucks firing flames and fireballs were among the high-octane attractions at an extreme stunt and fireworks show.

The annual Monster Stunt and Firework Spectacular returned to the Provident Stadium on Saturday.

Monster trucks showed off their car-crushing skills, with Europe’s youngest monster truck driver, 20-year-old Alan Vaughan, making his debut appearance.

Young riders from the Extreme BMX team showcased their mid-air tricks.

And street bike freestyle team Two Brothers Racing, who recently appeared in Kylie Minogue video Timebomb, performed stoppies, wheelies, burn-outs and donuts on their two-wheeled 1200cc machines.

The Backdraft Wheelie Truck, described by organisers as a "massive 20-ton fire engine that thinks it's a wheelie bike", also entertained the crowds.

The truck can jump 15ft in the air and pirouette on two wheels, while its custom-built vertical exhaust system can fire flames and fireballs high into the air.

And there were smoking tyres as the Rocket Bunny Drift Car performed a car drifting routine. Emerging from the streets of Japan, drifting has evolved into a worldwide competitive sport which challenges a driver’s ability and vehicle control.

The night ended with a large-scale firework display from Aurora Pyrotechnics.

The annual Bingley Bonfire also drew the crowds on Saturday.

The event in Myrtle Park is one of the largest fireworks displays in the district.

Started in 1972 by the Bingley Round Table, it is now run by the Rotary Club of Bingley Airedale.
