A MONSTER sized stunt show will form part of this year's bonfire celebrations across the Bradford district.

Airborne daredevils on BMX and freestyle bikes, motor-cross bikes, monster trucks, drift cars and even a 20-tonne fire engine will all be part of the annual Monster Stunt and Firework Spectacular at Bradford Bulls’ Provident Stadium on Saturday, November 1.

Anthony Anderson, who produces the show said: “The show is all about Big Air - it literally takes things to a new level with our stunt riders getting airborne and battling out to get as high as they can whether they are on a lightweight BMX or in our record-breaking Monster Trucks."

The Monster Stunt and Firework Show will also feature a street bike freestyle team – who recently featured in Kylie Minogue’s video for Timebomb – performing wheelies, burnouts and donuts on 1200cc machines.

There will also be displays from a converted 20-tonne fire engine, jumping 15ft into the air while shooting high-firing flames and fireballs from its exhaust.

More conventional celebrations include Bingley Bonfire on the same day, starting from 6pm at Myrtle Park. It is organised by The Rotary Club of Bingley Airedale supported and helped by other charities, with proceeds going to good causes.

Last year the service extinguished 66 bonfires which had got out of control in West Yorkshire.
