A RABBIT subjected to appalling injuries before being dumped in a Bradford park has died despite attempts to save it.
The white rabbit was found with its ears cut off and a back leg badly broken in a park near Dirkhill Road, in Great Horton, on Sunday.
He was taken to Bradford-based Yorkshire Vets who named the animal Yorkie and looked after it.
The rabbit needed leg surgery, but due to the scale of the trauma, Yorkie was unable to recover and died.
The RSPCA was called after the injured rabbit was found and officers are still working to try to track down those responsible for inflicting the injuries. It is believed scissors were used to cut off its ears.
