Plans to commemorate the First World War will be discussed in a meeting at Menston Methodist Church on Monday at 7.30pm.
This builds upon the book by Judith Knaggs commemorating the 50 men from Menston who gave their lives and whose names are recorded on the memorial outside Kirklands. Of particular interest is the Butterfield family of WP Butterfield Ltd of Shipley, which donated Menston Hall to the village.
