A town is issuing its own welcome to the world’s greatest cycle race.
A ‘Welcome to Silsden’ sign has been placed on St James’ Church hall in readiness for the Tour de France Grand Depart, which comes through the town on July 6.
The illuminated sign was made by William Jowitt, of the Methodist Church, with help from Fab Lab in Keighley and Myers of Silsden.
Behind the project is Churches Together in Silsden, whose chairman the Rev David Griffiths said: “I am thrilled with how the Tour is bringing people together in Silsden and am looking forward to a great weekend in July.”
