The number of students applying to study at Bradford University is back on the rise, and higher than the national average.
Last academic year 122 more pupils started studying at the university than in 2012, according to figures released by admissions service UCAS Applications for 2012 had seen a dramatic drop of 629 pupils from 2011, a fall blamed on higher tuition fees introduced that year by the coalition government.
And while university application rates are rising nationally, that increase has been higher in Bradford A spokesman at the University of Bradford said: “The report by UCAS shows that the Yorkshire and Humberside region has seen the biggest rises in applications, with the University of Bradford’s UK application rates increasing by approximately six per cent, this is higher than the average increase of four nationally.”
