Calderdale Council addresses falling number of hedgehogs

First published in News

Calderdale Council is asking residents to report any sightings of hedgehogs in an effort to address falling numbers across the district.

By identifying where hedgehogs are located, the Council hopes to implement conservation plans and expand on its survey work by setting up baited tunnels and night walks.

To report the time and location of a sighting of a hedgehog, either dead or alive, contact countryside@calderdale.gov.uk.
