A conservation group is looking to recruit volunteers from Bradford for its activities in 2014.
The Conservation Volunteers, who use the Hollybush centre on Broad Lane, Kirkstall, operates a network of 2,000 community groups across the UK to help thousands of people to reclaim local green spaces.
The group offers opportunities in areas such as tree planting and felling, footpath building, bush craft, cookery and gardening.
Group manager John Preston said: “Hollybush is a great place to learn new things, share your own skills and find similar-minded people.
It provides a chance for fulfilling retirement or as valuable work experience for those returning to employment.”
Full training for volunteers is provided and expenses can be paid for travel.
The centre is also looking for people to help support new and less able volunteers to participate in activities.
