Harding-working staff have made winning a top award look like child’s play at a play centre voted the best in the region.

The Idle venue Childsplay beat hundreds of others to take the Yorkshire ‘top soft play venue’ title in a poll run by the UK’s largest parenting website, Netmums.com.

Gayle Potter took over the centre, in Jasper Street, earlier this year and has already made many changes.

As a winner, Childsplay will now get a sought-after gold listing on Netmums.com and an award certificate to display.

Miss Potter said: “It just feels so good to win this award with all the hard work we have done here.

“And there is so much more coming.” The national Netmums awards were set up to recognise the growing popularity of the indoor playgrounds which have padded climbing frames and slides for young children.
