BRADFORD Bulls’ interim head coach Lee Greenwood maintains this is no audition for the permanent role, as he embraces the lack of pressure of being in temporary charge.

Several players have expressed how they have enjoyed working under Greenwood and Brian Noble over the last few weeks, and with Bulls CEO Jason Hirst telling League Express that the club have not ruled out appointing a part-time head coach, that appeared to put the former Dewsbury boss back in contention to take charge.

But he told the T&A: “For me, I’m totally clear that it’s temporary, so it’s no audition for me and no pressure.

“I’m feeling relaxed, enjoying working alongside Brian and with the lads, and as it stands, I’m planning to take them into the game with Keighley this Sunday and the one at Newcastle next Friday.

Nothing has changed from what I said the other week, and I’m looking forward to the new head coach coming in.

“I’m still hoping to work with him and learn from him if possible, because I want to be part of a stronger Bradford Bulls going forward.

“For now, Brian and I are just implementing some of our ideas, with what we feel any good team or head coach would want from their players.”
