BRADFORD (Park Avenue) Ladies' new season starts on September 1 with an FA Cup qualifying round tie at new league rivals Bridlington Rovers.

Rovers are in the North East Regional League Southern Division, which Avenue have moved to from the West Riding County League.

Bradford will make their bow in the league on September 8 when they visit Altofts.

Avenue continued their preparations with a 5-3 friendly defeat at Curzon Ashton.

Thackley are in the Women's FA Cup for the first time, and they also have an away tie at the winners of the Wakefield Trinity v Farsley Celtic extra preliminary round game on August 18 at Fitzwilliam Sports Club.

Farsley's League Cup match with Harrogate Town at the 'Citadel' will be postponed to the following week, with the teams meeting in the North East Regional Premier Division a fortnight later at Wetherby Road.

Farsley beat Bradford City Women 2-1 in a friendly on Sunday, Falone Sumaili on target for the Bantams.

City start their Women's National League Division One North campaign at home to Durham Cestria on August 18 followed by a League Cup game at Liverpool Feds on August 25 at Jericho Lane.

City's second string are at Middlesbrough College for their first game in National Northern Reserve Division One on September 8.
