SILSDEN recorded only their second league win of the season in a relegation crunch clash at Brayton.

Their 2-1 win has lifted them off the bottom of the West Riding County Women's Premier Division table, as relegation rivals Middleton Athletic lost 1-0 away to Brighouse Athletic.

The Brayton Belles were actually ahead at the break courtesy of an Emily Owen goal.

But Silsden fought back in the second half, with Rebecca Brown and Eleanor Field goals taking them to a much needed victory.

It means they are now seven points of the Belles, who occupy the position above Silsden, after their hosts moved down to eighth because of a Tingley win.

Tingley rocketed themselves into sixth with a 4-2 away win against Bradford (Park Avenue) who weren't helped by the sending off of Ashley Butler.

Avenue missed a penalty and a good chance, in an entertaining, even first half.

However, Tingley took advantage of an unfortunate bounce, and a corner, to take a 2-0 lead into the break.

Tingley went further ahead in the second half after a goalmouth scramble, but Avenue's Nat Bell reduced the deficit after with a well-controlled finish.

Any signs of a comeback were quashed when Tingley made it four after the ball went in off the post.

Avenue's Millie West got a consolation chipped goal towards the end of the game.

In the First Division, Tyersal beat Boroughbridge 1-0, through Abbie Tate.

Skipton got three points against Republica thanks to Jess Ogden and a debut goal from Holly Morgan.

Thackley Firsts kept their title hopes alive with a second successive 9-0 win at home.

Relegation-threatened Dewsbury Rangers were resilient but were unable to stop a rampant Amy Wroot who bagged herself a hat-trick.

Both Annie Nicol and Kath Connell got braces for Thackley, with Megan Butterworth and skipper Nessy Holroyd adding to the tally with one goal each.

Third-placed Thackley stay six points adrift of leaders Ripon City who leapfrogged Lower Hopton after beating them in their title six-pointer at the weekend.

In the Second Division, Phoenix raced into a 2-0 half-time home lead against Leeds United Development after a Sanah Razaq brace.

But their visitors earned a point from the game, as it ended 3-3.

Phoenix top scorer Megan Medley was also on the scoresheet.

Elsewhere, Huddersfield Town gained an early lead in their FA Cup Fifth round tie after a Kate Malin penalty, but lost 8-1 away to WSL side West Ham.
