A GROUP determined to change the perception of Bradford's nightlife has made a significant appointment.

Bradford at Night was set up to boost the city’s night-time economy and make it a more enjoyable place after 5pm.

It brings together every sector, including pubs, restaurants, nightclubs and hotels.

Sean Walker is to join the group as Associate Director for Business Crime in June.

He will be tasked to "address business-related crime challenges and fostering a secure high street for our community".

Tom Walling, one of the directors at Bradford at Night, said: "Sean brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, and we are excited to welcome him aboard.

"With over a decade of specialised knowledge in business crime prevention and management, Sean joins us from a successful period leading BACIL (Business Against Crime in Leeds)."

He added: "Sean's addition reinforces our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Bradford's social and cultural economy.

"His leadership will be instrumental in developing strategies to address business-related crime challenges and fostering a secure high street for our community.

"We look forward to working together under his guidance to enhance safety, promote growth, and support businesses throughout the district."
