THE cause of a large fire at an upholstery shop in Bradford has been revealed.
Emergency services were called to A&A Upholstery on Summerville Road at around 8am on January 27.
At the height of the blaze, there were up to 40 firefighters on the scene.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) worked swiftly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading elsewhere.
Today, a spokesperson for WYFRS said an investigation into the cause of the fire had been completed.
"The cause has been determined as accidental," they said.
"It was an electrical fault that started the fire."
On the day, a worker at Hooked fish and chip shop on Summerville Road described the incident as "crazy".
The worker told the Telegraph & Argus: "We were here early getting prepared for the day and there were six or seven fire engines on the road.
"There was smoke coming out of the building, but the fire brigade was here straight away. They were very rapid.
"We were a bit worried it was going to spread - with so many fire engines around you never know what's going to happen.
"It was a bit crazy."
