A BRADFORD tailoring firm will officially unveil a jacket fit for a King on coronation day.

IK Collections, in Westgate, will hold an event to mark King Charles III’s coronation on Saturday, May 6 between 1.30pm and 5pm. All are welcome to attend with free refreshments and face paintings available for youngsters.

The event will feature the official unveiling at 3pm of a special jacket that IK Collections owner Imran Khan has helped make for King Charles III.

Mr Khan met the King during the latter’s visit to Bradford in November last year.

Meanwhile, a young TV soap star made a return to a Bradford shop to collect a suit.

Jude Riordan, who plays Sam Blakeman, 11, in ITV1’s Coronation Street, paid his second visit to Bradford tailoring firm, IK Collections, on Westgate.

The youngster’s character first made his appearance in the long-running soap in 2020 and is the son of characters Nick Tilsley and Natasha Blakemore, who was played by Bradford-born actor Rachel Leskovac until her character was killed off in 2021.

During his visit to IK Collections on Tuesday, May 2, the youngster collected his suit featuring a handmade blazer and a bowtie. He is planning to wear the new suit at a future awards ceremony.
