AN EMPTY former antique store in Baildon could soon become a micropub if new plans are approved.
35 Westgate used to be the home of Bagpuss, an antique and vintage store named after the popular children’s TV star cat.
Now a planning application has been submitted to Bradford Council to convert the small shop into a drinking venue.
Plans show the new bar will be called The West Gate.
With seating for just a handful of drinkers, it will be the latest micropub to open in the district if the plans, submitted by Elizabeth Hawksworth, are approved.
The pub is expected to create two full time and one part time job.
A decision on the application is expected in June.
