KING Charles III will visit the headquarters of long-standing Bradford business Morrisons on a visit to the city next week.

On arrival to the supermarket’s headquarters on Gain Lane, The King will be received by The Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire Ed Anderson who will present Morrisons’ chief executive David Potts.

His Majesty, accompanied by Mr Potts, will proceed into the headquarters to view Morrisons' farming, sustainability and retail initiatives including their rare breed programme and the recently launched carbon-neutral eggs.

He will also hear about Morrisons’ approach to helping their customers with the cost-of-living crisis and the work they do to support the communities they serve.

The King will meet representatives from The Prince’s Countryside Fund, and Mr Potts will present Keith Halstead, Executive Director of The Prince’s Countryside Fund, as well as farmers who have been supported through The Prince’s Farm Resilience Programme.

He will view some of Morrisons’ Market Street fresh food counters and talk to some of the supermarket's own skilled butchers, bakers and fishmongers and will also see new produce in the test and development kitchen

Mr Potts will introduce His Majesty to colleagues in the atrium and before departing, The King will unveil a plaque.
