THE Lamborghini that caught fire leaving a man fighting for his life following a crash on the M62 was from a supercar hire company belonging to a well-known social media influencer.

Lord Aleem's family firm, Platinum Executive Travel, hired out the purple Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Coupe - which is worth in excess of £270,000.

The collision, involving the Lamborghini and a Mazda CX5, occurred at around 5:05pm yesterday afternoon between the sliproads at junction 25 of the westbound carriageway, near Brighouse.

When approached by the Telegraph & Argus, the Birmingham supercar hire company confirmed it was one of their vehicles but did not want to comment any further.

What is a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Coupe?

With 760 horsepower and a top speed of 217mph, it’s one of the highest-tier road cars out there.

It holds the current record time of the fastest production car to lap on the famous German track Nurburgring-Nordschleife circuit, throttling up from 0-60 in only 2.8 seconds.

When describing the car on the website, the company says: "Nothing is more satisfying than stepping into this monster of a car and pushing down the button to start the engine and hearing the growl of the V12 engine that is vibrating behind the seat, emanating the sheer amount of power.

"The feeling of having that power in the palm of your hands certainly is invigorating, pushing down on the gas pedal to exerting 720 nm of Torque. This surely is one of the greatest adrenalin rushes at your fingertips."
