A MAN who was in a Lamborghini Aventador which set on fire following a crash on the M62 is battling for his life in hospital.

The collision, involving a purple Lamborghini and a Mazda CX5, occurred at around 5:05pm yesterday afternoon between the sliproads at junction 25 of the westbound carriageway, near Brighouse.

The Lamborghini - thought to be worth in excess of £270k - entered the motorway at junction 25 while the Mazda was already travelling on the motorway when the collision happened. Both cars subsequently caught fire. 

Videos have circulated online of a group of men in wedding attire standing on the carriageway capturing footage of the cars on fire.

The passenger travelling in the Lamborghini suffered life-threatening injuries.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries and are also being treated in hospital.

The crash caused the M62 Westbound to be closed and traffic was at a standstill between J25 A644 Wakefield Road, Brighouse and J24 A629, Ainley Top.
