A MAN who was accused of stalking has had the offence withdrawn.
Leslie Francis, 41, of Westfield Avenue in the Yeadon area, was charged with stalking involving serious alarm or distress.
He appeared at Harrogate Magistrates' Court yesterday to face the charge.
It related to accusations of a number of instances involving the same woman over a two year period, between May 2019 and October 2021.
This was said to be in the North Yorkshire area.
Court records show this included allegedly sending unwanted bank transfers and arranging for flowers to be sent to the woman's workplace.
But the offence was withdrawn during the hearing yesterday.
Court records show that Francis's legal costs of £180 will be paid to Petherbridge Bassra Vintry House from central funds.
