Two Bradford sports clubs are set to host their biggest fundraising event yet for four different charities.

Taking place over the Jubilee weekend on June 3, AFC Undercliffe and Undercliffe CC will raise funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Mind, Marie Curie and Candlelighters.

With more exciting plans still in the works, the family fun day will feature a charity football match, charity cricket match and tug o' war battle.

There will also be traditional football cards, face painting, hair braiding, a bouncy castle and slide, bucking bronco, hook a duck, nighttime disco and karaoke and meat raffle.

The main events will take place at Undercliffe Cricket Club while the charity football match can be viewed at Peel Park.

Organiser Dave Long said: "AFC Undercliffe and Undercliffe CC have always prided themselves on the good charity work they do.

"From buying gifts for under privileged children at Christmas to supporting the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, they have raised thousands over the years and have no intention stopping now.

"After the last few years fundraising has had to take a back seat so this year we're going big.

"To tie in with the Jubilee weekend, we're having a charity/family fun day with everything from charity football match, a charity cricket match, tug o' war and lots more."

The event will start at 10.30am and end at midnight.

"It promises to be a great event with lots of money raised," Mr Long said.
