THE latest round up of the Bradford district’s MP extra earnings outside their parliamentary work has been published.
The entries are made in the MP’s Register of Financial Interests, which exists to “provide information about any financial interest which an MP has, or any benefit which they receive, which others might reasonably consider to influence his or her actions or words as an MP”.

MPs have to declare payments in 10 categories: employment and earnings; donations; UK gifts and hospitality; political visits abroad; foreign gifts and hospitality; land and property; shareholdings; miscellaneous; family members employed and paid through parliamentary expenses, family members lobbying the public sector.
The latest publication covers the earnings declared by MPs between February 15 and 28; updates to the register are published by the Houses of Parliament every fortnight.

£2,000 received from GB News for 20 hours work presenting four episodes of ‘Saturday Selection with Esther and Phil’, a news programme, received on February 15 and registered on February 16.
The show’s description from GB News reads: “Welcome the weekend with the husband and wife duo - both serving MPs - as they celebrate the country's triumphs and look at the good news where you are.”
