A FOURTH male has appeared at crown court in connection with the murder of Kian Tordoff, 19, who died after being stabbed in Bradford city centre earlier this month.

Amaad Shakiel, 20, of Leaventhorpe Lane, Bradford, is charged with the murder of Mr Tordoff and the attempted murder of Matthew Lowther, also 19, and appeared at Bradford Crown Court this morning.

He appeared in court on video link after the case was at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court earlier this week.

Two men and a youth appeared before Bradford Crown Court at the end of last week facing the same murder and attempted murder charges.

Arbaz Khan, 21, and Aizaz Khan, 26, both of Yew Tree Avenue, Daisy Hill, Bradford, and a 16-year-old, who is also from Bradford, were remanded back into custody after the hearing on Friday.

All three appeared in front of the court on video links.

A timeline of events

Shakiel's case will now tie in with his co-accused and the next hearing will take place on November 5, when a trial date will be set. The trial is expected to take two weeks.

A plea and trial preparation hearing will take place in February at a date to be fixed.

Kian Tordoff, 19, died after he was stabbed in Bradford city centre in the early hours of Sunday, October 10.

The police were called to John Street at 5.45am where they found both Mr Tordoff and Mr Lowther with stab injuries. Mr Tordoff was pronounced dead at the scene, while Mr Lowther was hospitalised.

The police confirmed today that Mr Lowther is now out of hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
