PROPOSALS to build a new industrial unit on a site next to the M606 have been approved by Bradford Council.

Keystone Investments submitted plans for a 7,500 square foot industrial unit on the vacant plot between the motorway and Commondale Way earlier this year.

The development would be an extension of the Euroway Industrial Estate, and access would be from Commondale Way.

The application has now been approved by planning officers.

Photos included with the application showed that the site is regularly used for fly tipping.

More flexible use for industrial building is approved

Officers said: “The proposal is not considered to be harmful to visual amenity or the amenity of the occupiers of adjacent land, nor is it considered to be harmful to highway safety.

“The site is located within an area which would easily support an additional unit of the proposed uses.”

The decision comes just days after an application for a neighbouring site was also approved.

Keystone had applied to refurbish a vacant unit next to this plot of land, extend its parking area and allow for wider uses for the unit.
