LATEST NEWS: Shock after man dies following reports of assault at house in Bradford

A MAN has been arrested after an individual died from a serious head injury suffered in an assault.

West Yorkshire Police was called at 8.40am this morning to Airedale Road, in the Undercliffe area of Bradford, to reports of an assault.

Officers rushed to the scene and found a man, in his fifties, with a serious head injury.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Despite the efforts of the emergency services the man was pronounced dead at the scene."

Police arrested a male in his twenties in connection with the death.

Officers have launched an investigation to try establish the circumstances of the situation.

A police cordon is still in place, in the area.

Forensic Officers can be seen entering a building within the cordon, which they appear to be searching and investigating.

One officer was outside on the street, putting several items into evidence bags.
