POLICE have told how a suspect attempted to talk down a police dog in a bid to escape justice.

The suspect, who was wanted for burglary offences, dived into woodland as officers chased them on foot.

Macy, a police dog for West Yorkshire Police, tracked the suspect through the woods and into dense undergrowth.

In a bold move, the suspect reportedly "tries their luck" and shouted 'Stop boy, stop boy'.

But Macy was unstoppable with her commanding officer warning 'That won't work'.

The run-away suspect is now in custody for burglary.

Macy and her furry counterpart Molly have often appeared on the popular TV show Police Interceptors.
