A HOUSE that was part of a major murder enquiry has been boarded up, after 11 days.

An address on Independent Street, Little Horton, was part of a police investigation that led to the discovery of the remains of Harrogate woman Susan Howells.

A square of overgrown grass, just opposite the house, was also cordoned off by officers.

Enquiries were still being made there at the beginning of today, with Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) officers seen removing evidence bags from the property.

Officers were also continuing to search inside and outside the home.

But, the house has now been boarded up with metal sheets, while the cordon covering the patch of nearby grass has been removed.

Police found the remains last Friday on private land off Station Road, Doncaster.

It was confirmed on Monday that they were the remains of 52-year-old Ms Howells, who was last seen in February.
