POLICE have confirmed they have found the remains of Susan Howells.

Ms Howells, who was last seen in February and reported missing in August by her family, was 52-years-old and from Harrogate.

Her remains were found last Friday by officers searching private land in Station Road, and police confirmed it was Ms Howells today.

Two men have been charged in connection with her disappearance and have been remanded to appear at Leeds Crown Court later this month.

Dale Tarbox, 39, of Station Road, Doncaster, was the first to be charged.

He was accused of murdering the missing woman and was remanded back into custody after appearing at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday, October 3.

Keith Wadsworth, 60, of Dunscroft, Doncaster, also appeared at Leeds on Thursday.

He was charged that day with preventing a lawful and decent burial.

Wadsworth was also remanded into custody and both he and Tarbox will appear before Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday, October 30.

Enquiries are continuing to establish how she died and officers are continuing to search locations in Bradford and Doncaster.
