PLANS to boost security at a city centre car park have been approved.

Earlier this summer a planning application to install a 2 metre tall mesh fence around the car park for Napoleon’s Casino was submitted to Bradford Council.

The car park is between Bolton Road and Captain Street - opposite the casino, and the fence will be installed on the Bolton Road side of the car park.

The existing landscaping on the site would remain.

The application was approved by Bradford Council this week.

A planning officer said; “The proposal is required to secure the site for the patrons of the Casino use.

“Extensive enclosures are not ideal however the security needs are noted and railings are the preferred option.”
