EUROPE'S most modern golf range is continuing to have problems with

flying balls, despite building a 100ft fence.

The Pro Range at East Kilbride increased the height of the fence, now

one of the world's highest, after teething troubles which saw stray

balls flying into adjoining roads.

Management at the range have warned golfers that if they deliberately

hit balls over the fence they will be barred from playing.

They are still wrestling with the problem of what to do at the far end

of the range -- site of a soon to be completed restaurant.

The manager of Pro Range was not available for comment.
