A woman has been arrested after armed officers were called out following a disturbance at a house in a County Durham village.
Emergency services were called shortly after 7pm last night to Rodwell Street in Trimdon Station.
There was a huge police presence and it is understood officers were also called to Fishburn in connection with the incident.
The Northern Echo understands the incident is being treated as an aggravated burglary.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: “Armed and unarmed officers attended the scene.
“Thankfully, nobody was injured in the incident and nothing was taken from the address.
“A woman in her 30s was arrested in connection with the incident. She remains in custody.
“Enquiries are currently ongoing.”
