A MAN has been charged with murder following the death of Barbara Davison in Redcar.
The 61-year-old is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today.
In a statement released through Cleveland Police yesterday, Ms Davison's family said: "The family would like to say we are totally devastated at losing our mum.
"We are still in shock and would ask that we be left to deal with this and for privacy at this very difficult time."
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "61-year-old Paul Plunkett, of Station Road, Redcar, has been charged with the alleged murder of Barbara Davison on Wednesday, August 15.
"He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today, Friday, August 17."
