A MEMBER of staff at a Tesco store was injured after being burned by a firework which a witness said was thrown into the supermarket by youths.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service confirmed they attended the callout to Tesco, in Halifax Road, Buttershaw, at 6.05pm on Saturday.
They attended to the male member of staff but he was not transported to hospital.
A witness said: "The bang and explosion was so loud we thought it was a bomb. Kids were crying and people held their ears. The staff member was seen to by paramedics.
"This also happened on Friday night at the same store. Luckily not injuring anyone.
"Something needs to be done at this store as it seems to be a place youths hang around, asking customers for cigarettes and being very intimidating."
The Tesco store was contacted but a spokesman said they were unable to comment at this time.
