JACKIE McNAMARA reckons the pressure of trying to beat the drop with Falkirk is the same as trying to win titles with Celtic.

The 35-year-old won four SPL titles during his 10 years at Parkhead.

However, he is now facing a different scenario this weekend as Falkirk travel to Inverness needing victory to keep them up.

McNamara said: "I think the pressure is the same, you get the same nervous feeling before games, but it's different going for titles than survival.

"Survival is people's jobs at stake, behind the scenes and even players without contracts.

"There is a lot of pressure that way and obviously with the financial aspect for the club.

"I've never fought relegation before and we will travel up there under a lot of pressure.

"Surviving would be different to other things I've achieved in my career, but it would be a great feeling to survive.

"We have the chance to get ourselves out of it."

Caley Thistle boss Terry Butcher claims his side have no shortage of enemies who would love to see them crash out of the SPL this weekend.

Butcher said: "They don't like the time it takes to travel up here and I'm sick and fed up hearing people whining about it.

"Few people consider the amount of travelling our players have to do."
