Irvine Development Corporation's technical services director Ian Downs
holds the 1992 Scottish Homes Open Door Award, a scheme to promote a
more thoughtful approach to housing design and provision, particularly
taking into consideration people with disabilities. Mr Downs received
the trophy on behalf of the corporation's architects' department, and
the housing department received a certificate, for Linkwood Court,
Lawthorn
