Muslim Businesses United, a non-profit making voluntary organisation, wants Bradford firms to unite and help alleviate water shortages abroad.
It aims to transport water generators, valued at about £1,000 each, and solar-powered purifiers, costing £7,000 a piece, to Gaza in December.
To raise funds, the group is holding a charity dinner, featuring singer Karl Dallas, at Bradford’s Rio Grande on October 2 at 7pm.
Mohammed Saleem, chairman of MBU, said: “Palestinians are drinking polluted or salty water which is causing an increase in kidney problems.
“We wanted to target prevention so the people don’t become ill. We hope the dinner will raise funds for the purchase and transport of the life saving equipment to Gaza.”
