From the Telegraph & Argus of September 4, 1956...Mounties have a reputation for always getting their man, and Bradford mounted policeman Geoffrey Bristow follows that tradition. He was on horseback in Little Horton Lane when he saw a young man having difficulty with a case. When he rode towards him the man rushed away. Then began a chase to the yard of the Red Lion Hotel, Horton Park Avenue. There the constable found the hiding fugitive and later recovered the case in which was £80 of new raincoats.
